Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) gin
- 1/2 oz (15 mL) fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz (15 mL) simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves)
- 4-6 ounces (120-180 mL) sparkling water
- sliced lemon or lime
- ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour 2 ounces gin, 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice and 1/2 ounce simple syrup.
- Cover shaker and shake all ingredients vigorously until well blended and chilled.
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass filled with ice.
- Fill the glass with sparkling water, making sure it is filled to the brim.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon or lime and serve immediately.
This cocktail should be consumed quickly as the sparkling water will degas over time. Enjoy!
